CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?
Office visits are not covered by insurance, though superbills can be provided upon request. Depending on your plan, these can be submitted for reimbursement — many PPO plans cover a portion of these costs. HSA and FSA funds can typically be used to cover office visits as well.
IN WHAT STATES ARE YOU ABLE TO SEE PATIENTS?
I am licensed to see patients in California. In-person visits take place at Be Well Natural Medicine in Mill Valley, and virtual visits are available anywhere else in the state.
DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?
Yes — I'm able to prescribe medication for patients located in California. I offer both medication management and nutraceutical support, so together we can find the approach that's right for you. Treatment plans may include a combination of conventional and functional/nutraceutical options, depending on what's appropriate for your case.
CAN I WORK WITH YOU IF I LIVE OUTSIDE CALIFORNIA?
I'd still love to work with you! I'm licensed as a naturopathic physician in California, so for patients outside the state, I'm happy to offer consultations on an educational, non-diagnostic basis — think general health guidance and support, rather than formal diagnosis or treatment. For anything involving diagnosis, lab testing, or treatment decisions, you'll want to have a local licensed provider you're also working with. HOW LONG DO PATIENTS TYPICALLY WORK WITH DR. WIENBAR?
This varies based on your current health and long-term goals. The longer the body has been out of balance, the longer it typically takes to return to a healthy state. Regular follow-ups are the most effective way to achieve meaningful, lasting change.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM WORKING TOGETHER?
The initial visit focuses on gathering a comprehensive history of your current and past health, your lifestyle, and your health goals. Comprehensive labs — often combining conventional and functional testing — are typically ordered during this first visit to gather additional information. From there, a personalized treatment plan is developed and adjusted over time as we learn more.
